We are a Christ‑centered, Spirit‑led church family committed to seeing people encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and carry His hope into everyday life.
What We Believe
THE SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED
We believe that the Bible is the inspired (God breathed) Word of God and the final authority in the affairs of man upon the earth.
THE GODHEAD
We believe in the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are separate entities, yet they function as one.
THE DEITY OF CHRIST
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that sin entered through Adam, and that Jesus Christ died to redeem mankind.
NEW BIRTH
We believe that the New Birth is necessary to all and with it comes the gift of eternal life to all who believe.
WATER BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion as being an outward sign of an inward experience. It is a point for us to use faith against the old sinful
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation and is accompanied by the evidence of speaking with other tongues. This experience empowers the believer to not only communicate with God, but to do the works of Jesus.
RIGHTEOUSNESS
We believe that sanctification is definite: in that God has imputed His righteousness to man.
DIVINE HEALING
We believe that divine healing is part of the atoning work of redemption. All benefits are appropriated by faith.
THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
LAKE OF FIRE
We believe that the lake of fire is a place of retribution reserved for Satan, his angels, and all who die without Jesus.
THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper as Jesus commanded us. The Cup represents the blood that was shed for our forgiveness of sin; the Bread represents the body broken for our healing.
THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
We believe in the laying on of hands to transmit power from one person to another for healing or for spiritual gifts.
GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY
It is our belief that God is sovereign in that He has the ability to do anything. However, He has qualified His ability through self imposed limitations. In the completed work of redemption, God has made provision for all that pertains to life and godliness and such provision or blessing must be appropriated by faith through the authority of the believer. Therefore, Man created as a free moral agent and responsible for his destiny and the standard of life that he chooses.

Spirit & Truth is led by pastors and elders who love the Lord, His Word, and His people in Stanly County. They are committed to serving with humility and integrity.
